Butter& became a dream for Amanda Nyguen after her family commissioned her to make a special cake to celebrate her nephew turning 100 days old after struggling with his weight since birth. She had always enjoyed baking, however, looking around at normal cakes wasn’t inspiring her, so she decided to take it a step further and reach out of her comfort zone a bit and fine-tuned her craft for more birthdays and other occasions to come. This led to her creating her own business and leaving her data analyst job at Facebook to pursue her dreams.
