Originally located in the commercially zoned garden level space of a Lincoln Park single family home, one yelp reviewer commented “Folks, this one is a secret find…”. Focusing on the latest trends, designs and styles, Amy Beck Cake Design has positively influenced the Chicago Wedding Cake Industry, which now competes for culinary and design leadership with sophisticated marketplaces in New York and California. Since launch, Amy Beck Cake Design has been featured on national television and countless publications. In 2011, in response to increased demand, Amy Beck Cake Design expanded to its current location in historic River West. Amy recently celebrated 12 years! After graduating from Penn State University with a degree in business, and spending several years in the competitive management consulting industry, Amy was finally able to act on her lifelong dream and passion for cake design. Amy launched Amy Beck Cake Design, a custom wedding cake bakery originally located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Since then, her trophy case has grown and so has her River West location. Amy’s passion for beautiful cakes and focus on top customer service has been recognized both industry wide and across multiple social media outlets.

Wedding Cakes: At Amy Beck Cake Design, making custom cakes is our passion! Meeting with couples and using their favorite wedding inspirations is what we do. Whether it is lace from a wedding dress, a couples favorite flowers or even Grandma and Grandpa’s antique cake topper. It is those special touches that makes each wedding cake unique. We are honored to be a part of one of the biggest days of their lives.

Sweet Table  Offerings:  SWEET TABLE OFFERINGS Want to add a sweets table to complete your dessert dream? We offer customized sweets along with your wedding or celebration cake! Each spread is tailored to your preference, whether it’s custom macarons, hand painted cookies, chocolate tarts, cake pops or gems, cupcakes, or something we haven’t yet dreamed up! CAKE TASTINGS
Amy Beck Cake Design offers custom designs made from scratch, never frozen, using only the freshest ingredients. Our cakes and fillings are made with real butter, cream, and quality chocolate. At your tasting, you will meet with Amy or one of her professionally trained assistants to discuss all the details of your cake, including design and flavor choices. Tastings are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There is a flat $25 tasting fee that covers 1-4 guests. The tasting fee is reimbursed for cakes that are $400 or more. At your tasting, you will be provided with 6 seasonal cakes and 8 seasonal buttercream’s, to mix and match to create your perfect slice.
