“thus, the beginning of Sweet E’s Bake Shop. Growing up in Texas, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen baking with my Grandma Mimi and my mom. We baked up all types of sweets and I was always the designated helper, wanting to get my hands dirty in the kitchen. As I grew older, baking continued to be one of my passions and whenever there was a get-together, people always knew I had dessert covered.
After graduating from the University of Texas (Hook Em!), I headed West to California to pursue a career in acting, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that baking was my true calling. With much encouragement from my family and friends, in 2009 I took the plunge and Sweet E’s Bake Shop was no longer a dream, but a reality.
It’s hard to believe that an idea that started in my tiny kitchen has turned into an in-demand business with locals and celebrities alike tying up the phone lines to request order after order. Our mobile food truck (which you can follow on Twitter) can be seen daily delivering sweets all around town and is on its way to becoming an LA staple. We ended 2010 with the grand opening of the Sweet E’s store-front in the heart of Beverly Hills and business has yet to slow down! We eventually became popular enough to move to one of West Hollywood’s most popular neighborhoods and we love our new store on 3rd Street. We pride ourselves on being your dessert delivery service as we deliver locally in Los Angeles and we ship all across the country so you can enjoy our sweets anywhere you please.
